Before we start, Kaori is in NO way part of 'Curse of the Hyuuga Clan'. She's an OC from Guy's past that plays a large part in who he is today. She was his first love and best friend from the time they were children, who died in the Kyuubi attack.

It took a long time for him to learn to let her go.

Enthusiastic and always happy, Kaori wants to become a strong ninja and works hard to prove it. Little bit of a firecracker, that one. She's an intense no-nonsense Kunoichi. Growing up in a time of war she knows when to be serious, but hasn't yet lost sight of her childhood. She clings to the good things in life as hard as she can, and will fight to the death to protect them.

She and Guy were both orphaned soon after their graduation from the Academy, and their team sort of became their psuedo-family. Over time, she and Guy developed a romance, and they were very close at the time of her death.

It was Kaori's dream to have a genin team of her own one day, made up of orphans that she could help recover from the trauma of their past. When she died, Guy took that dream on as his own.

It's also in her memory that he wears the spandex. She bought them for him as a gag gift his last birthday before the Kyuubi attack. Green, she said, was her favorite color, and she would love to see him in spandex. He never wore them while she was alive, and wears them now as if trying to make up for it.

TenTen got her hairstyle from Kaori, as Guy learned how to do the hairbuns from her, and it is the only hair style he knew how to do.
